Welcome!
I am the author of Garden of Her Heart, out now, and the host of the Write, Damn It! Podcast. I am also an experienced coach with more than 35 years of working on mindset, and teaching others to be expert coaches. As well as this, with a masters in learning, I run fun workshops.
I have a grown up daughter, a granddaughter, a cockapoo who is convinced she's still a puppy despite getting old, and a husband who has put up with me for 38 years - I know, how is that even possible, huh?
I did 50 things in my 50s, which included stand-up comedy, and humour is something I bring into all of my work. This comes from me being a suicide survivor, and I draw on my lived experience of emotional health and wellbeing in my writing, coaching, workshops, and life. One thing I’d change - do 40 things in your 40s! It’s more achievable. The pandemic got in the way, and I had to finish some of the challenges I set myself in the first 2 years of being in my 60s. But I did some incredible things and I’m glad I set myself challenges, because it set me on the journey of being fearless. Now 62, I’ve just come back from a solo walking holiday in the Apennine mountains in Italy - I’m not sure I’d have dared in my 40s or early 50s, but now I’ll do pretty much anything.
